Community RePaint Wirral
COMMUNITY REPAINT SCHEME
The Community RePaint scheme has been run from the premises of Wirral Environmental Network since September 2006, with the much missed Jim O'Neil devoting a great deal of time and effort to making it a success.
We managed to keep the scheme running during 2013, thanks to the efforts of Hannah Armstrong and Matt Young, but it was becoming increasingly obvious that we did not have the resources to offer more than a restricted service to the public.
Not without regret, the decision was taken that a new location for the scheme would need to be found. We are pleased to announce that Community RePaint Wirral was taken over by ReciproCity Wirral on 1 August 2013. Not only will they offer paint and wallpaper, they also have stocks of paint brushes, trays and rollers, not to mention brand new surplus building materials and office furniture.
They can be found at Unit 2, Britannia House, Dock Road, Wallasey CH41 1DF. Their opening hours are from 8 a.m. until 4.30 p.m. on Monday to Thursday inclusive.
Their telephone number is 0151 639 0651 or you can contact them by email on firstname.lastname@example.org .
During the time the RePaint scheme was situated at Wirral Environmental Network, a period of just under seven years, over 26,000 litres of unwanted paint was collected, with more than 25,000 litres being redistributed (the rest was unusable and was disposed of safely). This is a fantastic achievement and a worthy memorial to Jim and his hard work over many years.
